What's next for education in Florida?
One of the Foundation’s most critical purposes is to develop a legislative agenda that continues to move Florida in the right direction. Our legislative priorities reflect our commitment to advocating policy that will keep the promise of quality education for all of Florida’s students.
Our priorities for the legislative session are organized into six subject areas:
- High Standards, Rigor & Relevance
- Measurement
- Accountability
- Teacher Quality & Leadership
- School Choice
- Funding & Governance
Within each of these areas, we identify the next steps that Florida can take to continue leading the nation in innovative policies and increasing academic achievement for all of our students.
The Foundation is tracking several priority bills that impact our legislative priorities. We will work with bill sponsors to strengthen and support sound education policy, while opposing efforts to undermine the foundational policies that have led to rising student performance.
